On Sunday 5th October at 8.00 am a few hardy organisers and volunteers arrived at Green's Windmill in Sneinton to set up the Urban Harvest Festival. The weather was grim - pouring down with rain, windy and cold - and I think most of us wish we had stayed in bed. Somehow, despite the weather, by opening time it all came together and the stalls were set up ready for the visitors who started arriving just after 10.00 am.
There was music, food, information, food foraging workshops, a barter area, wine tasting, basket weaving, an hourly screening of 'Power of Community', apple pressing and more....
The sun came out in the afternoon and as the weather improved, the stream of visitors increased and a great time was had by all.
